Delano Chamber Orchestra’s 2026-27 Season

We are excited to bring the joy of symphonic masterworks to our community as well as performances of some rarely heard gems.

In "Wide Spectrum" on September 27, 2026, soprano Rachel Dugan will perform three movements from Les Nuits d'ete (Summer Nights) by French composer Hector Berlioz. Robin Koch will be our featured soloist on two movements of Concerto for Marimba and Chamber Orchestra by Brazilian composer and percussionist Ney Rosauro. We will round out the program with a great American symphony--Symphony No. 2 "Romantic" by the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, conductor, and Eastman School of Music director Howard Hanson.

In "Beethoven's Love Affair with C minor" on January 31, 2027, we will commemorate 200 years since the passing of Ludwig van Beethoven with an all-Beethoven concert. We will feature some of his most powerful works (cast in the key of C minor, of course), with pianist Dr. James Knight performing Beethoven's third piano concerto. We are keeping the other works on this program a secret for now!

On April 11, 2027, we will feature the winners of our Young Artists Competition. The competition is designed for high school seniors; the winners perform as soloists with the orchestra. I'm always impressed by the talent, composure, artistry, and dedication of these rising stars. They never fail to inspire!
