Kristin Chisham

Director of Delano Chamber Chorus

Kristin Chisham is the K-12 General Music and Vocal Teacher at South Haven Schools. Kristin taught K-12th grade vocal and general music at Maries R-1 Vienna Public Schools in Vienna, Mo and Blair Oaks Public Schools in Jefferson City, MO. Kristin has also taught general music and choir in Lawrence, KS and in Oklahoma. She has taught everything from general music to middle school/high school showchoir/jazz choir.

Kristin holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree from Wichita State University in which she was an Olive Beech Scholar, and teacher certification in the states of Missouri and Oklahoma. She graduated with her Master’s in Music Education in May of 2017 at Central Methodist University. She was also a music major at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. She is a Certified Image/Wardrobe and Fashion Consultant of the Academy of Fashion and Image of Peoria, Arizona. She is an active member of KMEA, NAFME, KCDA, SWACDA, and ACDA and NATS. She is also the Director of Music at Pine Valley Christian Church. She was the founder of Dominae, a community women's choir in Jefferson City, MO. In the summer of 2017, Kristin was nominated as a MCDA Central District Outstanding Director Nominee.
Kristin has been a private voice, piano and oboe teacher for the past 23 years. Kristin is a NATS and Classical Singer member. Her private students have placed in the local NATS Chapter as participated in the NATS and Classical Singer Regional student auditions. Several of her students have won numerous awards and have been selected to participate various honor/district/state and national choirs over the years in both Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.

Kristin is an avid performer as she was a member of the MOstly Opera organization, the Jefferson City Symphony and the Southside Philharmonic while living in Jefferson City, MO. She has also performed in various collegiate, community and professional choirs, and musicals.
